Family Literacy Day

Family Literacy Day is taking place on January 27, 2026! Find ways to celebrate @ ABC LifeLiteracyCanada. This year’s theme is “Make mealtime family learning time”. 

Whether it’s following recipes, making shopping lists, or sharing stories at the dinner table, preparing for mealtime is a fun (and tasty) way for families to learn together.

The school is sponsoring a contest for families, see the attached letter for details.

KinderStart Sessions

KinderStart sessions for this year are on the following dates:

• January 30 (rescheduled from January 23)

• February 20

• March 13

• April - date to be announced

An information email will be sent out on January 7.

Notice from the CMOH

NLSchools has been asked to forward the following notice from the Chief Medical Officer of Health.

Rycor

Grade K-6 

Parents Go to the Rycor login webpage at studentquickpay.com/nlesd and create an account. In order to add your child to your account you will need to enter your child’s Student Number (contact the school) and their last name. You can have multiple students from multiple schools on your account.

 Grade 7-12 

Parents No need to create an account! Simply login to your Powerschool Parent Portal account and click on the “Student Fees and Forms” link under the Navigation section.

To request a courtesy seat, the following form will need to be submitted by no later than September 12th.  Submitting a request does not guarantee that a request can be approved.
